Ok..so i didnt get to write in my journal yesterday, i had to work all day..and by the time i got home i was totally worn out!! Had a really hectic day yesterday. I work taking care of developmentally disabled people ( that is the new PC term of it) It is a pretty cushy job, not a whole lot to do but take care of one person. Well, yesterday that person decided to take a tumble down a flight of 15 stairs. Let me tell you, that is the most scarey sound you have EVER heard! Luckily my program manager was there ( who happens to be my mum) yeah, carrie freaked out majorly ( and all this time i thought i would be good in an emergency) i turned into a bumbling idiot, who started screaming for my mommy!!! Then she told me to call 911, and of course i went running upstairs to do this..and ended up falling UP the stairs ( i told you i had talent!! nods nods) The ambulance came took the person to the ER. Thankfully NO broken bones, just really sore and a scrapes and bruises. What REALLY gets my goat about the whole thing, is that they sent him home with NOTHING. No ace bandage, no pain killers.. NOTHING! Now..if it would have been you or me, you KNOW they would have perscribe something for the pain. This actuall happens a lot with people who have a disability. Especially if they are NONverbal which this person happens to be. ok, rant over!
im hoping today will be a better day..lol
